The work cycle ABSTRACT POEMS (2016 –2018) is based on my reflections on the poetry of modernism. In my examination of poems and texts by Hermann Hesse, Rainer Maria Rilke and Thomas Mann, whose stylistic freedom became an important feature of the modern literary epoch, I explore this freedom in the painting process of my digital-abstract Neo Paintings. In this process, I respond purely emotionally to the diverse forms of expression of the authors and give free rein to my inspiration in the realization of these works. Stylistically, I take up the formal language of papercuts for this cycle, as they can be found very early on in the colorful works of Henri Matisse. Playfully and filigree, the individual color layers merge into expressionist-abstract compositions. In this series of works, I tend to follow my need for consonance in their color scheme, which the viewer experiences as soothing and harmonious.
Each of my fine art gallery prints comes with subsequent framing on Alu-Dibond and a final acrylic high gloss sealing. It is strictly limited to one large format original, digitally signed on the front and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
