« IN ART LIES THE CHANCE TO BRING FAITH, HOPE, AND MEANING INTO OUR WORLD. ART ALWAYS LEADS PEOPLE INTO A CURRENT RELATIONSHIP WITH BEING. » Jason Engelbart

I    INSPIRATION AND VISION    I         I have always drawn my artistic inspiration from a variety of sources. I start my day with a morning meditation. For me, it is a source of inspiration that both energises and grounds me creatively. Through my exploration of Far Eastern philosophies, I passionately seek out their spiritual sources regarding our being. Overall, I draw my inspiration from life, from my own personal experiences, especially regarding our contemporary cultural development.

My creative focus is on creating works with a strong emotional impact and a positive aura. In my art, I combine the timeless elements of color composition, movement, and light to create a pure, abstract essence of our being. My works invite the viewer to reflect on the spaces in our lives that we can perceive on a subtle level, but which we often forget or ignore in everyday life. In a restless and sometimes superficial world, I want to remind people of the love, freedom, and joy as our natural birthright. My artworks are a testimony to the cultivation of healthy human qualities, positive change, and development.

This is where my artistic approach lies, by making the viewer of my works aware that there is a higher goal for our lives, which I characterize with content such as mindfulness, gratitude, peacefulness, and meaningfulness. I therefore like to describe my digital Neo Paintings as emotional soul peacemakers, because they give the viewer the opportunity to withdraw from reality for a moment in order to focus on the unconscious – to simply pause for a moment, trace their own sacred peace of mind and linger in the now. Because all too often our everyday lives are characterized by the pursuit of the next goal, the race against time.

I    DIGITAL NEO PAINTINGS   I         My digital artistic journey began in 2010 with the market launch of the first iPad. Inspired by the artist David Hockney, who created his first landscape paintings on the iPad during this time, I started my first artistic experiments with this new medium. Soon afterwards, I began to transfer the abstract compositions I had initially painted on the iPad to the Adobe Photoshop program on my Mac, in order to finalize them into colorful works in a subsequent digital painting process. As a result, the iPad was merely the trigger for my digital Neo Paintings, which are now created completely on the computer.

From then on, the large screen of my computer is my canvas, and the digital Photoshop features pencil, brush and smudge finger are my painting tools. With the simultaneous and rapid development of digital printing techniques, it became possible to realize my works as high-quality giclée prints, laminated on aluminum and sealed with acrylic glass. By this the foundation for my new artistic expression was laid.

In the following years, I used this contemporary medium to create the stylistically varying series of works, such as THE JOY OF BEING, ABSTRACT POEMS, LIQUID LIGHT and the current cycle of works BAROQUE PASSION.
